Who doesn’t love the sweet mix of cheese and red sauce that make’s a great thing Italian’s call “pizza”?

Imagine that your parents are going out for the night, and they order you a nice, cheesy, large pizza from Papa Johns. Your first instinct is to celebrate, and eat the whole pizza.

But that’s not what you should do, because each slice of pizza you shove down your throat, is slowly increasing your sugar total. Every slice of a large cheese pizza has 5 grams of sugar in it.

That doesn’t sound to bad, but who only eats one slice? My friends and I will eat at least 5 slices, and that would put us over our allowed sugar total for the day, with 25 grams of sugar.

Imagine that you eat the whole pizza, which isn’t unusual, that would put you at a sugar total of 50 grams! And that’s just the pizza, imagine if you get the cinnamon sticks…

Wow this article is very informative! I was unaware of the amount of sugar in one slice of pizza! It is very important to watch your sugar intake to avoid health issues such as diabetes.
