Ever wanted to try a milkshake from Burger King? You won’t after reading this!

Burger King, according to the food database, is another victim of an over-dosage of sugar. A large Burger King milkshake’s amount of sugar is exactly 140.1 grams! That’s 116.1 more grams of sugar than the amount of sugar you’re supposed to have in a day. A small cup has 84.1 grams of sugar! Just stick with the original Chick-Fil-A milkshake, unless you want type 2 diabetes.

Nice article. Be wary of throwing out numbers so specific though; a lot of people don’t know how to visualize something like “140.1 grams” of sugar.

That is pretty much 3.5 times our recommended daily intake. It’s quite obvious why a lot of people are gaining weight and getting diabetes. I wonder how many grams of sugar a large milkshake has. This is basically like poisoning our bodies that we need to respect.

Wow, I didn’t know it had that much sugar. That’s like 5 times more the amount of sugar you should have in a day. Good job on the article, way to raise awareness of it.

I don’t think I will ever get milkshakes from burger king after finding out that there’s 116g of extra sugar in them.

It’s easy to overlook the ingredients in the foods, such as salt, sugar, and fat, that can be hidden, all of which leads to diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, strokes, heart disease, and cancer. We should pay more attention to what is in our food.

We agree, the whole point of this blog is to inform people about what’s in the food we eat. If we know what’s in our food, we can change the way we eat. (Hopefully to healthier foods)

I like how you were able to calculate the amount of sugar in a burger king milkshake. My question, Is which fast food milkshake is the most healthy.

Thanks. I will be more careful when I pick and choose my milkshakes at burger king. Maybe pick none!

Burger King is not the only fast food restaurant that loads their milkshakes with sugar. McDonalds, Fat Burger and Carls Jr milkshakes are probably as bad as Burger King or maybe worse. So if your wanting a milkshake make it at home and which will always be better than getting it at a fast food restaurant.

People tend to not looks at the ingredients or amount of sugar in foods that taste good, because they just love the taste. They don’t realize that there favourite foods could be harming them.
