When was the last time you went to McDonalds and bought a McFlurry? WELL, GUESS WHAT??? One regular McFlurry has a whopping 65 grams of sugar! That’s 2 1/2 days worth of sugar in one meal!

Many people go to McDonalds to eat. However, when you buy a McFlurry with your meal, you’re also buying yourself a death sentence. The regular McFlurry has 65 grams of sugar! All in all, the meal at McDonalds should give you about 3 to 3 1/2 days worth of sugar! So, next time you go to McDonalds, Beware Of Flurry.

Have you ever had a creamy, delicious Cookout Milkshake? If so, you probably had a sugar high…

A chocolate Cookout milkshake has 70 grams of sugar! That’s almost 3 days of sugar, ALL IN ONE MILKSHAKE!

But the solution is the Wendy’s chocolate milkshake! It *only* has 64 grams of sugar. So if you’re craving a milkshake, Wendy’s is the better choice… but just barely.

That delicious root beer float that you always crave for, really you should be wanting to run away from.

In one large serving of the root beer float from the A&W restaurant, there are 110 grams of sugar. That’s almost 5 days worth of you’re daily amount of sugar – 24 grams per day. Remember, the next time you order a frothy float, you’re packing your body with over a hundred grams of sugar.

Frozen Yogurt vs. Light Ice Cream

Ice cream

————————————————————–

Picture this: It’s Friday night and the kids are begging you for a night time treat.

You’re trying to encourage healthy eating habits, so you pull out the ice cream alternatives: light ice cream and the frozen yogurt. “Which one is the best?” you wonder. The answer: NEITHER!

Wait, what? It’s light ice cream and frozen yogurt! But some things are just not what they seem. According to the food database, the average cup of vanilla soft serve frozen yogurt has a whopping 35 grams of sugar and the light vanilla soft serve ice cream has a total of 19 grams of added sugar!

It might look like the light ice cream is a lot better than the frozen yogurt, and it is. But neither of them are “good” for you. If you eat just one cup of light ice cream, you are eating ¾ of your daily intake of added sugar! So the today’s lesson is that light ice cream is way better than frozen yogurt, but you still should settle for something else.

Creamy Cookie Death

Chick-Fil-A Cookies and Cream Milkshake

______________________________________

Have you ever had a cookies and cream milkshake from Chick-Fil-A? They are so delicious but SOOO unhealthy. I always get a large because it’s too good to just have a small.

But get this: a large cookies and cream milkshake from Chick-Fil-A is 91 grams of sugar (over 3 days)! Even if you get a small you’re still getting 69 grams of sugar (over 2 days)!

I know it hurts, but there are always alternative choices. I love oranges, so I could make an orange smoothie, for example.

OH Fuuuuudge!

McDonald's Ice Cream

———————————————————

If you go to McDonald’s for some ice cream, you have a simple choice to make; Do you want fudge, or not!

The McDonald’s Hot Fudge Sundae has two days worth of sugar (48 grams) but the regular McDonald’s vanilla ice cream has only twenty grams of sugar (which is still a lot).

So if you want to have a treat at McDonald’s, the healthier choice is the vanilla ice cream.

When you eat an ice cream sundae, do you top it with chocolate syrup or whipped cream?  Both?

As much as we love chocolate, it might be time to say goodbye to the chocolaty sweetness.  Two tablespoons of Hershey’s chocolate syrup has 20 grams of sugar.

In comparison, Cool Whip has two grams of sugar in two tablespoons.

Do you like sandwiches? How about ice cream? If you add those items up it equals 15 grams sugar!

How about a healthier option?

If your going to eat an ice cream sandwich, at least eat a low fat, Blue Bell ice cream sandwich instead of some other normal sugary ice cream sandwich. Lets compare them!

A Blue Bell ice cream sandwich has four less grams of sugar than an ordinary ice cream sandwich.

Do you really enjoy ice cream from Cold Stone Creamery?

If you do, you DEFINITELY need to watch your serving sizes because one medium cup of ice cream at Cold Stone that contains chocolate ice cream, chocolate syrup, peanut butter and one Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup has 112.5 grams of ADDED SUGAR!

That is almost 5 days worth of sugar!
