What It Takes To Fill Up The Red Suit

Santa's Cookies

You leave the cookies and milk out for Santa on Christmas, right? Do you ever wonder how much sugar he consumes?

Well, just three sugar cookies have 42 grams of sugar! Also, just one cup (8 fl.oz) of reduced fat milk (2% fat) has 12.3 grams of sugar! In total, that’s 54.3 grams of sugar!

Oh yeah: And Santa eats this at millions of houses a night!

Goodbye for Now

t’s that time of the year again…

Time for us to take a break from work, and go ride wild zebras in Antarctica. Or maybe the #sugarkills team will try skydiving off of Mount Everest. Either way we are excited to track-out and just be crazy teens.

You may see a couple posts while we are gone on our 5 week adventure, but if not, we will begin posting regularly in late January! Keep on watching what you’re eating!

We all know that McDonald’s isn’t the healthiest restaurant but, did you know that their burgers actually have sugar in them?

Yes McDonald’s puts 7 grams of sugar in a cheeseburger.  So next time you go to McDonald’s you better be planning to put no ketchup on your burger because they stuff that stuff with sugar.

Concord Sugar Jelly – Average All Brands

Do you love peanut butter and grape jelly sandwiches? Well, I do.

Here’s the bad news: one tablespoon of grape jelly contains 12 grams of sugar. Imagine that a tablespoon full of sugar! That is exactly a half of your recommended daily sugar.

Also, if you taste delicious sweet grape juice from the grape jelly, it is not 100% grape juice but sugar. Did you realize that three-fifths of the grape jelly is sugar? If you are the person who loves to have grape jelly on a slice of bread, you have to be real careful with your health!
