Seattle running back Marshawn Lynch loves to eat Skittles before each game. Why does he do this, you ask?

Marshawn Lynch got caught on Super Bowl Sunday at kickoff eating Skittles. When he got asked why he did this, he said, “If you want to know the truth, you’ve got to ask my mama.”

Reporters then asked his mom about the Skittles. She answered, “Before the game, I would say, ‘Here Marshawn, come and get your power pellets.’”

A bag of Skittles have 37 grams of sugar. That’s almost 2 days worth of sugar in a bite size pack. But it’s BeastMode, the rules of sugar don’t apply to him.

Is there a reason for this odd scenario? Maybe he wants to get extra energy before the game. Maybe it makes him feel better. No one knows.
